Good morning, sports fans! Have we got some news for you. This month we are launching a mighty series of giveaways that tie into our vast database of architectural projects and summer's hottest sporting event, the FIFA World Cup.
Here's the skinny: we've got projects. A lot of them. And they're all over the world. We're picking one country at a time to highlight according to the order of matches in the FIFA World Cup (see the schedule here).
First up? Mexico! We have 173 projects in Mexico alone, and your task is to comment here -- or on our Facebook page -- with your favorite building. Everyone who comments will be entered in a drawing to win an awesome book, today's pick being a signed Juergen Mayer H. book. (Coming up we have equally stellar picks from Princeton Architectural Press and ten copies of the brand new AIA Guide.)
Start your engines:
1) Peruse the 173 projects from Mexico, whose team is playing in the first FIFA match against South Africa on June 11.
2) Comment on this post with your favorite.
3) Sit back and watch the action, and hopefully win a book!
4) Repeat play in our next giveaway, coming early next week. Here are a few options to consider:
Casa Gutierrez (Chihuahua, Mexico)
Cortazar Bridge (Cortazar, Mexico)
RG House (Guadalajara, Mexico)
La Biblioteca Central UPAEP (Puebla, Mexico)
Centro de las Artes de Guadalajara (Jalisco, Mexico)
Remember: these are only five of the 173 projects to choose from -- CHECK THEM OUT HERE.
*The book in question is Arium: Weather and Architecture by Neeraj Bhatia and Juergen Mayer H. Did we mention it's signed!
