The architecture practice can sometimes be a bit of a game—what with all the endless bidding on competitions and strategic geographic conquering. All the more reason why these 8-bit digi-portraits of starchitects are so appropriate.
Bolgnese architect and designer Federico Babina has made these succinct caricatures, called “Archipix,” of architects with their signature buildings. The regulars are all here—Frank Gehry, Zaha Hadid, Renzo Piano, Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel—as well as a few golden oldies.
Although we haven’t decided whether this will be best for the new version of "Space Invaders" or perhaps "Street Fighter," we do know that we already have our fav characters. Which starchitect would you be?
