If you have commitment problems with your apartment layout or just generally tend to move a lot, you will know very well that the weight of your furniture heavily influences your levels of flexibility or inertia.
Well, Benjamin Hubert has designed the Ripple Table that only weighs 9kg for a 2.5mx1m design—that's about 70% to 80% slimmer than normal. Perfect for someone who lives alone, the table can be assembled and maneuvered by a single person.
If you're scared that it might fly away, well, it is made entirely from birch aircraft plywood. A strong material in itself, the wood is further strengthened by a unique lamination process developed by Benjamin Hubert with Canadian manufacturer Corelam—therefore, this table-on-a-diet therefore only has an edge of 3.5mm!
The Ripple Table launched in the Aram Store during London Design Festival in September as part of Benjamin Hubert’s inaugural UK solo exhibition, Antecedents.
