Designers have a long held relationship to books, those long-lasting artifacts that can serve as other venues for design skills. The brain child of Steve Kroeter, founder of popular online bookstore Designers & Books, the Designers & Books Fair will take place from October 26th-28th on the FIT campus, and will feature some of the biggest names in architectural publishing and authorship.
Some of the highlights include architects Tod Williams and Billie Tsien in conversation with Vanity Fair architecture critic Paul Goldberger, Interior and product designer Todd Oldham in conversation with New York magazine design editor Wendy Goodman, as well as a special keynote event. Of course, a myriad of authors will be in attendance to sign copies of their works; publishers such as Rizzoli, Princeton Architectural Press, and Thames & Hudson, among others, will also be making a strong showing. Rare and out-of-print book dealers will be present, as well.
Tickets for the fair go on sale on September 1st. See the full schedule of events here.
