Swedish furniture giant IKEA, stalwart ally of college dorms and first apartments alike, has released the latest freshmen "must-have": the "SOCKER Greenhouse". This new product "provides a good environment for seeds to sprout and plants to grow", even in the smallest of living situations, aiding the busy troop of aspiring gardeners in their planting ambitions. Meant for those poor city-dwellers lacking in time, you can wipe the greenhouse clean "with a damp cloth". Built out of "steel, powder coating" and "polystyrene", this product is destruction-resistant, and at 17 ¾” by 8 ¾” by 13 ¾”, it was obviously designed in the metric system (and fits well on tight fire-escapes). Designed by "Sarah Fager", the greenhouse features vents that "can be placed in a halfway open position to allow air to circulate and the temperature to cool". Buyer beware--as with most IKEA items, "this product requires assembly". Still, at only "$19.99" it’s a steal.
