One doesn't usually describe a house as "uncompromising"; the opposite is true, or at least we hope that's the case. Home is warm, familiar, and probably most important, forgiving. But House K isn't your typical home. With its heavy platonic form, dark black cladding and general bunker-like appearance, this isn't the type of house you'd want your 3 year-old to be doodling in class. (On second thought, that'd be amazing!) The outer walls---stained plywood panels arranged in rhythmic pattern that travels down the length of the facades---of the structure offer few clues as to the interior organization of the house, though the randomly spaced and sized windows provide glimpses to the all-white living spaces within.
