Today marks the 11th anniversary of the attacks of September 11th, 2001. As most readers know, construction of the World Trade Center Complex and the National September 11th Memorial and Museum has been mired in problems.
Still, notable milestones have been achieved: Seven WTC (by SOM) was completed in 2006; the Memorial Pools (by Michael Arad) opened last year; Four WTC (by Fumihiko Maki) topped out this past June; and the tallest tower, One WTC (by SOM), formerly known as the Freedom Tower, is rising fast, with completion scheduled for 2013.
